Why Blockchain Storage Alone Doesn't Work for NFT Media

Decentralized storage through the traditional IPFS network avoids those specific centralization risks, but brings its own friction for a platform trying to ship a reliable NFT product: retrieval latency that varies by peer, technical complexity in running and maintaining node infrastructure, and documentation that's often sparse across different implementations.
